Every racer starts the same way, with a dream.

For many people, that dream begins with watching a race, owning a sports car, or spending weekends in the garage. They tell themselves, “Someday I’d love to race.”

For most, someday never comes.

Not because they lack the passion, but because they don’t know where to begin. The path into grassroots motorsports can seem confusing, intimidating, and out of reach. Which organization should you join? What does it cost? What car should you buy? How do you get a competition license? What should you expect at your first race weekend?

We’ve asked those same questions.

We’re a group of racers who have already taken that journey. We’ve made the mistakes, learned the lessons, and discovered that getting started isn’t nearly as complicated as it first appears.

That’s why we created Garage to Grid Motorsports.

Our purpose is simple: to help aspiring racers navigate the journey from dreaming about racing to taking the green flag. We provide clear guidance, practical resources, and real-world experience to help you avoid common mistakes and build confidence along the way.

But our goal isn’t to keep you dependent on us.

Our goal is to help you become part of the grassroots racing community.

One of the greatest things about this sport isn’t the cars, it’s the people. The paddock is filled with racers, crews, volunteers, and families who remember what it was like to be new. They’ll answer your questions, lend you a tool, share their experience, and welcome you into a community unlike any other.
